Alex G Album Cover Analysis

The artist is in the centre of the frame drawing the audience's focus onto her. This links into the self titled album. The close up clearly shows the facial expression of the artist. The artist is using direct mode of addressees, also drawing in the audience's attention.

The positioning of the artist suggests a gentle nature, because of the direct mode of address and the positioning of her hands. The white dress worn suggests innocence, youth and purity. The connotation for this also links into the pose of the artist.

The name of the artist is in bold black and a sharp font, San Serf. The colour of the title contrasts with the pale frame and photograph. The contrast draws attention to the artists name.

The font type used on the advertising poster and the CD cover are the same. Extra information has been added to the advert, including: release date, information to re-order, a website, and the release of the single 'Bones'. Although a different photograph has been used it was taken at the same time shown by the clothing.
